A Round Up Of December's Outfits

I know everyone says it, but last month just flew by. In the midst of all the Christmas shopping, cookie decorating, and holiday activities, December came and went in a flash. The lack of snow and warm weather here also made it seem like it was April. I honestly felt like this year I blinked and Christmas had passed. It still doesn’t feel like the New Year!

This month was full of comfortable outfits to run around in and holiday inspired attire. My inspiration for this month were oversized coats, lots of layers, comfy and casual, and neutral colors. I wanted to stick to holiday colors without looking like a walking Christmas tree.

I think there was a bit of confusion up in the sky with Mother Nature. She must have lost her marbles because it was 50 degrees and sunny when it is usually 10 degrees and snowing during December. Usually I wouldn’t complain about the warm weather, but for multiple reasons this didn’t fly with me. First, I had just spent the down payment on a car for new winter wardrobe items (example: all of the coats in this post that I was sweating in as we shot them). Second, there was no snow on the ground for Christmas. Just like the lyrics in that famous song, I was dreaming of a white Christmas.

I’m hoping January offers some good coat weather and not light jacket or full snowsuit attire. This month you can expect to see more posts with jackets, sweaters, and boots in them. I will also be writing posts on things that inspire me, things I liked, and I may review some collections. I hope you all stick with me on this (cringes as I say this word) journey.

See you guys on the other side (or just the next post!)
-Katie

  5. Your style is truly fantastic! I love the grey coat paired with the striped shirt, it really defies the saying that neutrals are boring because they're not when paired so nicely like the way you did! Great roundup, looking forward to your amazing outfits in January! :) xo~ Lena
