Castillo de San Cristóbal

Dress: BCBG
Shoes: H&M
Hat: Pacsun
Watch: Michael Kors
Bag: Accessorize London

I have been lucky enough to travel and see some really cool places, but I must say the Castillo de San Cristóbal was by far the most interesting and architecturally impressive location. I will spare you the history lesson, but the Castillo de San Cristóbal is an old fort in San Juan that was built by hand in 1783. The site includes stone paths, hidden passage ways, dungeons, a bunch of viewing areas where you can see the ocean and on the opposite side the city, extravagant wood doors, bright colored walls, and huge sit in windows. There is so much beautiful scenery surrounding you, it’s overwhelming. In a good way, of course!

This was actually my third time visiting this fort. I walked by it two years ago and briefly thought about how cool it would be to tour it. Then, at the beginning of our trip, we had some free time to walk around and explore it. The third time was right before we were going to the airport to fly home, so we took as much time as possible for our last visit. There were so many places to shoot for the background, that we were going crazy trying to decide where to start.

On this day, it was sweltering hot. You can take notice of the red cheeks, frizzy braid, and the “I’m melting” facial expression. Those could probably clue you into the hot temperatures, without me having to tell you in so many words. I knew how bright and colorful a lot of the scenery was before we got here, so I went for a bright pattern dress from BCBG. The colors in this dress just scream Caribbean to me. I threw on my favorite over sized hat to protect my face from the sun (which you can see did not work too well), and added some comfortable and stylish sandals from H&M.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, I can’t wait for you to see what’s coming up!
