A Round Up Of February's Outfits

Although this is a round-up of February, all of these outfits were actually worn in the final week  of January. I just wanted to throw that out on the table before I confuse everyone by talking about how January was such a wonderful month.  It was a crazy month, but not so crazy of a month, that I think I’m living a month behind everyone!  Although, having some time to slow down and take a breather would be nice. But, without further ado, here is why January was an amazing month for fashion.

First, I can start by saying I am sick of this cold weather! Like actually sick. I find myself rolling out of bed in the morning, walking into my closet, and putting on the same black sweater and jeans. When this trip to the Caribbean rolled around, I was probably the most excited about wearing summer clothes again. Not having to bundle up and brace myself for the frost bite that would await me outside was amazing. Even in January, with just over half of the winter season over, I was so done with the cold weather.

For this trip, I really experimented a lot with color. I like darker, deeper tones in my wardrobe, so branching out was a good change. I tried brighter colors and patterns that I actually really ended up liking and wanting to incorporate more into my everyday wardrobe. I really think trying new things, especially in fashion, can really open up your eyes and even change your perspective. Although, until winter is finally over you will probably be seeing a lot of the same colors in my outfits. But when spring and summer arrive, I will assure you my style will be filled with all of the colors of the rainbow.

Do you have a favorite outfit from this month?

  2. I think you'd love Australia if you're sick of the cold! While we do have a "winter" it's nothing like what New York would be experiencing. Really love the maxi dress you wore and the black bag from the first outfit! Really cute and such a staple!
